The Bothy Collection

Bothies are small, simple shelters built for refuge in some of the most remote and beautiful parts of Scotland. Traditionally used by walkers, climbers, stalkers, and keepers, they were created for one essential purpose: to offer shelter, safety, and a place to rest when the weather turns and the land feels vast.

In the Scottish Highlands, a bothy is more than just a building. It represents resilience, warmth, and human presence in a wild landscape. Tucked into hillsides, forests, and coastal corners, bothies stand as quiet reminders that even in the most rugged places, there is still comfort to be found.

Our bothy paintings celebrate that sense of shelter and stillness. Set against mountain paths, lochs, moorland, and changing skies, they capture the quiet poetry of these humble structures and the role they play in Highland life. They speak to solitude, endurance, and the deep connection between people and place.

For us, bothies are symbols of the Highlands themselves — practical, enduring, and deeply rooted in the landscape. This collection is a tribute to those hidden spaces where the weather can be fierce, but the welcome is always warm.
