Cabrach Croft presents a solitary stone croft tucked into wide, rolling moorland. Soft, late light lays bands of green and ochre across the fields while distant slopes melt into muted purples, giving the scene a calm, slightly weathered feel. The house and adjoining outbuilding sit quietly between two trees, suggesting a human story without urgency. I like how the stone textures and open space balance each other - it’s a peaceful view that would make a thoughtful addition to a living room, study, or hallway.

  • Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish. Scratch, crack, and warp resistant.
  • Vibrant, long-lasting colours with water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection.
  • Solid wooden frame from renewable sources, 4 cm deep.

Artist: Jan Holm

Jan Holm is a landscape photographer based in the Highlands of Scotland, where he draws continual inspiration from the region’s remote wilderness, dramatic coastlines, and ever-changing light. His work reflects a deep connection to these environments, capturing both their quiet beauty and raw power through carefully composed, atmospheric imagery.
Working primarily across the Highlands, Jan combines a passion for wild places with a distinctive photographic style, producing images that are both evocative and timeless. His portfolio is available as framed or mounted fine art prints, as well as in canvas format, and is represented in galleries throughout Scotland.
Jan exhibits regularly, holding around seven exhibitions each year, and his work is widely distributed through image banks for use in books, magazines, and online platforms. Alongside his personal projects, he has undertaken numerous commissions, including significant work with the Scottish Forestry Commission.
Beyond his own practice, Jan has played an active role in supporting the arts community, contributing to committees dedicated to promoting art and photography across North East Scotland and the Highlands.
